This weekend, Katalyst, our youth group, went to hear Rachel Joy Scott's father speak. Rachel was killed in the Columbine shooting in CO. It wasn't that his speaking was AMAZING, but it was his message that he came to spread that made it incredible. He challenged people, Christians, to LOVE people no matter their race, background, clothes, ability, etc. He spread Rachel's message about showing Jesus and making an impact through showing small acts of kindness in your everyday life. He told us that by setting goals, we will work harder to achieve our dreams. I was so inspired, especially in the area of photography. I have a goal in this business to be the very best photographer that I can be. Who knows where it might take me one day? I was also deeply convicted that I have a chance to make an impact in areas I am serving now, but take it so lightly. His words were so heavy at times, it felt as if a weight was sitting on my chest. If you ever get the chance to experience his ministry, take the time out of your schedule to make it happen.
These are a couple of pics I've been working on tonight. I've finished Melanie and Josh's photos; I've just got to post them. :) Peace.
