The Strongest Men Ever! :)

This Saturday, I spent my time watching my husband prove how strong he is (or isn't if you ask him)! Anyway, he was asked, along with our friend Andy, to compete in a National American Strongman competition. It was pretty fun to watch, besides the 1o mos. old and the blazing heat! But it was for a great cause....raising awareness for bone marrow donations. It was an interesting and great day.

Nature

How awesome are these pics! I entered the one of the fish in a photo contest. It's probably one of my most favorite pics I've ever taken. You'd never think something so disgusting and nasty could make such an abstract piece of art. The flowers are beautiful too. Anyway, forgot these were on my computer, and I had to share them. Keep tuning in, I'll have new pics up next week from a birthday party! :)

Princess Ross and Princess Reese

So, it's about 1:30 in the morning, and I've been sitting editing pictures for about 7 hours!!! I can't help myself. I so product driven that I want to see the end result finished and posted on my blog. I think I'm becoming an addict. Plus, editing is so much easier when Gray isn't trying to mash the keyboard buttons! :) This afternoon, I went to Tim and Lindy Williams' house to take pictures of two precious little girls, Ross and Reese. We had some obstacles to overcome, but they did fantastic. They wore two cute dresses to start, changed into princess outfits, and finished with an outfit they picked out all on their own. The pictures turned out better than I could have even hoped for, and I hope they love them as much as I do. The slideshow is only about a 1/3 of them. Crazy!!! Welcome Dawson Daves!

Dawson Daves is finally here! Today, I stopped by (and hung around) Abby's house to check on her and the baby......and I wanted to capture a few pics of Dawson so tiny. He is going to be a great manager of time, because he showed up on his due date, naturally. I also learned today that he does NOT like to be in the nude! Thus most of the pictures with clothes on. I'm looking foward to learning more and more about him! Click on the title to see more pics!

She just won't stop growing up!

Gray is 9 months, 3 weeks old! She is a complete DIVA! She is also not lacking in the personality department! :) Just this morning, Kevin said he awoke to her sitting up in the bed, just a talking, and clapping her little hands. She has been crawling around trying to get into whatever she can, and she has almost perfected the "bye-bye" wave. I am so blessed to be staying at home with her this year, and I am still overwhelmed each day by how much I LOVE her! These pictures were taken this week eatin' puddin and watchin', poppin, and eatin' Daddy's bubbles. Click on the title to see the complete slideshow.

Evan's Softball Pics

I recently went to watch my sister, Evan, play in one of her last travel team softball games. She is an awesome softball player, sister, aunt, student, and person in general. She's had a lot of hype all around her since signing with the Carolina Gamecocks, but she remains grounded all the same. I want better for her than she probably wants for herself. Despite her flaws, she's one of the few people that I love so much it hurts! :)

Beth Pensinger Bridal Shoot

Since I've been doing a lot more photography, Beth has been one of my biggest fans (which I appreciate more than words can explain)! Beth and I were talking one day about weddings and portraits, and Beth decided to show me her bridal portraits. They were ........ interesting. After seeing them, I asked her if she would be interested in doing a reshoot for fun. Beth agreed and we got some great photos! Not a lot of people can say they look just as good as they did on their wedding day 9 years later! Take a look and let us know what you think.

My Birthday/Family Vacation

My birthday was Monday, and Kevin had a big surprise planned. Those of you who know me, might know that I despise surprises. I don't know why, I just do. I AM THAT KID...who opens and hunts for presents before Christmas morning. Horrible, I know! Anyway, Kevin had this plan, and I kept saying that I wasn't going to try and figure it out (a.k.a.- Ask a million questions). Reason A- Because I always end up figuring it out, and Kevin ends up mad at me. Reason B- (Brace yourself, this is bad..) I always end up imagining something so much better than he actually has planned. Horrible again, yes I know. He ended up suprising me and taking me to this beautiful, old Spanish castle. He said he wanted to take me there, because he knew that I love to get ideas for taking future pics here. Sweet. He also wanted to spend some time on the beach and then take me to my favorite restaurant. The day didn't quite turn out as he planned because the BIGGEST storm that came through, but I had so much fun! It was a great birthday. Let's put it this way ...Carrabba's and Krispy Kreme in one night. Enough said. :)

The second half of my birthday week, my whole family hung out at the beach. Although we split up during the day for pool, softball, surfing, football, etc., we ended the days together. This was the first time my family has done something like this in like 7 years, so everyone was pretty pumped. The few days we spent together were great. I ended it with laughing so hard at my Dad I about started crying (I could tell the story, but it's one of those...you had to be there.) I love my family, and I love vacations.

The Osborne's

My great friend Tasha and her family came to visit this past week. They have a two-year-old little boy, Stone, so there was never a dull moment. The night we went to take their family pics, Stone was anything other than happy to comply (as you will see in the pics). Despite this, we still got some great pics and some smiles towards the end. Considering the circumstances, I think they turned out superb! :)
